A New Standard in Equestrian Sport and Hospitality
Where Design, Sport, and Connection Come Together
In the heart of the Netherlands, a remarkable new equestrian center is taking shape. This ultramodern sport and competition venue is more than a facility—it’s a complete experience. Here, a love for the sport, well-being of horses and people, and architectural vision come together in a setting built to inspire, perform, and connect.
A Center for Every Discipline, All Year Round
At the core of the center lies the impressive indoor arena, which can transform into two full-sized rings: a 20 x 40 meter warm-up arena and a 30 x 70 meter competition arena. For daily use, the space becomes one large open hall, giving both riders and spectators room to move, focus, and experience.
In addition, the site includes comprehensive outdoor facilities, allowing for events and training across disciplines—through all seasons.
Connecting Horse, Rider, and Audience
A defining feature of the design is the strong visual connection between rider and spectator. Tribunes are placed around the indoor arena on both ground and upper levels, offering excellent visibility from every angle. Visitors enjoy comfortable seating and an immersive view of the sport, staying close to the action at all times.
Light, Air, and a Sense of Life
Large skylights span the roofs of both the arena and the stables. These bring in abundant natural daylight and ensure continuous fresh air circulation. This creates a healthy, pleasant indoor climate—vital for the well-being of both horses and caretakers. The effect is an open, bright atmosphere that feels inviting to all.
Hospitality and Comfort for Every Guest
The center offers more than just sport. With 80 spacious horse stalls, riders and guests have room for both daily use and temporary stays during events. Above the stables are 40 modern hotel rooms (4 x 12 meters), ideal for training camps or multi-day competitions. Each room overlooks the surrounding landscape, making every stay feel like home.
Not only elite athletes are welcome here. Recreational riders will also find their place. Those traveling with their horses can enjoy unique holiday experiences, with direct access to scenic trail routes. These paths wind through forests, sand dunes, and open fields. If you’re lucky, you might even spot wildlife from horseback.
Food, Function, and Community
On the ground floor, a large restaurant and café offers meals, drinks, and coffee with a direct view of the arena. Above, office spaces are located for event organization and center management—designed for functionality, accessibility, and a clear connection to the sport below.
Architecture That Welcomes and Lasts
The building’s warm and robust aesthetic blends natural stone with wood for a friendly and timeless look. Inside, a mix of concrete, steel, and wood in the stables strikes a balance between durability, ease of maintenance, and visual calm. These materials provide more than structure—they reflect strength, balance, and quality.
A Home for the Future of Equestrian Sport
This is more than a building. It is a meeting place, a competition arena, and a home base for riders, horses, and everyone who shares a passion for the sport. With attention to detail, care for the environment, and a forward-thinking mindset, this center sets a new benchmark for equestrian facilities in the Netherlands.
